Hueman Studio Receives Minority Business Enterprise Certification
Hueman Studio has always proudly been a minority-owned enterprise. This past September, we officially received certification from the National Minority Supplier Development Council solidifying our status as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE). As an MBE, we can establish new partnerships, receive sustainable business training, and more. It is a natural next step that signals Hueman’s growth and commitment to being a creative studio with purpose.
“Hueman Studio is proud to be certified as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) by the National Minority Supplier Development Council. For me, this is more than a credential. It reflects who we are and the kind of partnerships we want to build.
Representation matters. When minority-owned businesses have a seat at the table, the work gets better for everyone. Diverse perspectives lead to sharper ideas, more thoughtful design, and solutions that truly connect with the communities they’re meant to serve.
We look forward to collaborating with organizations that share this belief and value the perspective that minority-owned businesses bring to every project.”
A reflection of our values
Strength in Each Hue. Our team is composed of a group of versatile creatives who defy a single title: builders, thinkers, storytellers. We celebrate the different backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences that give our work truth, depth, and perspective. Our experiences guide our perspectives, allowing us to not only evolve as designers, but as individuals on a team. When you work with Hueman Studio, we surpass just being minority-owned. We uplift and champion the diversity of our own team and talent.
Supporting other minority-owned businesses
It was never obvious or blatant in our messaging. We never advertised nor shied away from the fact that we are minority-owned. However, it still brought a sense of ethos to our work that resonated with other minority-owned businesses. There are many talented designers out there, but during a project, you want someone you can trust and will empathize with you. While there are many other demonstrations of our trustworthiness and empathetic approach, being minority-owned is something that resonated subconsciously with other minority business owners.
Take, for example, our work rebranding Ibis Consulting Group. Minority-owned themselves, Ibis sought a creative partner that exemplified their values of collaboration, integrity, and inclusion. After a couple of conversations, we were chosen to help Ibis rebrand, rebuild, and reposition.
Being chosen to work with minority-owned businesses allows us to keep the cycle of support going—uplifting other minority-owned businesses.
