The Accidental Fame of Organic Creativity (ft. Spring Canva Font Recommendations)
Back in July 2025, we posted a carousel and corresponding blog post on font recommendations perfect for Summer, all found on Canva. The goal of this post was two-pronged: to allow our team some creative fun (as with all of our social media) and to establish ourselves as regular curators and commentators on creative recommendations.
The creation of the content was very simple and organic. We explored the vast content library Canva boasts, looking for fonts that screamed Summer. After creating a “short” list (30 fonts made the first draft!), we attached type descriptors, marketing catchphrases, evocative imagery, and matching color palettes to each font. Summer is mostly known for vacation and fun, but that can manifest in many ways. We imagined advertisements for intellectual extravaganzas, drinks by the pool, and deliciously refreshing fruit.
The original posts did as averagely as all of our other posts did. But by August, “summer fonts on Canva” became our third most popular search keyword (with our studio name being the first two). Now, 4 out of our top 5 keywords are some variation of this phrase. We are actually ranked #1 for these terms; granted, they don’t have a high volume or KD. Oops!
As serendipitous as this accident was, it just goes to show that sometimes the best strategy is organic creativity. We want to continue to build on this post and position ourselves as a resource for design. Here are our Spring Canva font recommendations.
March
Robust and regal, March is a perfect blend of bold and elegant. Use it for your March Madness championship viewing party flyer or advertising the luck of the Irish specials.
Maely
Inspired by the habit of spring cleaning and the instance of discovering a box full of old photographs, keepsakes, and important memories, the nostalgia and yearning for childhood that accompany spring can be epitomized by this thin handwritten font.
The Seasons
Every feminine leaning brand (think: interior design or THE spot for girls night) has an affinity for The Seasons. Use this font’s classic charm for your own seasonal updates or to add a touch of Bridgerton to something in need of bloom.
Zeky
Although Zeky is a geometric font, imagine the retro nostalgia that hits when you see this font during your spring break vacation. This font is only available on Canva Pro.
Recoleta
Recoleta is round, soft, and sophisticated. It feels like the friend and warmth that spring can be and bring. Use it for your bake sale or mother’s day card. This font is only available on Canva Pro.
Architype Tchihsold
Part of the Architype Universal collection, this font is unique without being unobtrusive and avant-garde without being après-garde. This font is only available on Canva Pro.
Lovelo Line
Lovelo Line focuses on linear and negative space created through parallel lines and arcs. We hope the lines at your favorite music festival are as short as the distance between the lines in each letter of this font.
